Looks like a bit of a price war on US-bound routes at the moment! It all kicked off when Star Alliance airlines dropped their London departures last week, but KLM and especially British Airways are now showing reduced prices from all over the UK.

As noted before, not many airlines include a checked bag in their lowest fares to the US any more, however, you'll note that some OTAs (such as Omega Flight Store) allow you to upgrade your British Airways ticket to include a checked bag for a total of £30 more, as opposed to British Airways charging you £40 each way.

One last bonus: Some of these options also have dates covering December holidays at similar fares, like this route from Manchester to New York or from London to Austin here.
Reminder: JFC now has a mobile app. It's completely optional, but if you prefer to receive push notifications to your phone and want to view past deals, you can grab it in iOS App store or Google Play store now.

Travel Dates: end of October 2018 - March 2019 (Limited XMAS & NYE dates available on some routes)

Airline: British Airways on most routes, while London & Birmingham have better fares on Virgin, United & partner airlines.

Standard Fare: £500 - £650

Bags: Hand luggage only included

Book by: These fares may last 2-3 more days
Here's how to book:

1. Head to Google Flights and use their handy calendar tool to find the best travel dates for your route, by locating the dates with the lowest fares. If you prefer to book directly (higher fares, smaller change fees), then follow the link to the airline website and book.

2. To get the lowest possible fares (those listed above), head over to Momondo, re-enter your itinerary and book with an OTA (online travel agent). Momondo's fares take some time to load, so you'll often wait 30-40 seconds for the lowest prices to show up.

Note: Momondo will often show you routes with long layovers or an airport swap between Gatwick and Heathrow in London. Adjusting the flight leg duration at the top, and un-checking "Show flights with stopover airport change" under the Flight Quality category (as pictured below) is the best way to filter out the poor routes.
